Animal Science CTE Program
📢 Exciting Updates from Our Animal Science CTE Program! 🐂🔬
We are thrilled to share these pictures showcasing the growth of our Animal Science CTE program! These incredible improvements have been made possible through federal Carl Perkins and state NexGen funds, and we couldn’t be prouder of the opportunities they provide for our students.
This semester, our Animal Science students will conduct a hands-on research project, collecting and analyzing data on steer nutrition. One group of steers will receive a specialized feed designed to improve rumen efficiency, while the other group will not. Students will weigh the steers weekly and track their progress, with final results to be published at the conclusion of the study.
This is an amazing opportunity for our students to engage in real-world agricultural research and develop valuable skills in data collection, analysis, and scientific communication. Stay tuned for updates as the project unfolds! 📊🐄 #CTE #AnimalScience #HandsOnLearning #FutureFarmers
